Montel Vontavious Porter: Islamic American Wrestler?

I was reading on Montel Vontavious Porter's (MVP) Wikipedia page and it said that he has been converted to Islam, while he was in prision, serving time. According to the page, it said "While in prision, he converted to Islam and changed his given name from Alvin Burke, Jr. to Hassan Hamin Assad." 

Does anyone knows if that's possible? Was it a way for him to redeem himself as a criminal? 

I am going to search for information about this is the truth, since Wikipedia is really odd...

 

I went to check out his official website and it has no bio on him,

In the music video, he got girls, guys, Dwane Sweazie, who is with him and rapping with MVP, Carlito Colon, Shawn Hernendez, and Shelton Benjamin (Who is playing

dominos with Hernendez). I am not sure who else is in the video, but it's very cool that he did this video.
